This hotel provided a convenient stopover on our return to the UK after holidaying in France, being just off the A26 motorway. My original intention was a stopover in Calais but was put off by tales of security issues. The hotel is easy to find being just opposite the main train station and provides a secure car park for 10 euros a night. It is just over a year old and this is reflected in the standard of accommodation. We had a family room which was more than adequate for our needs and well appointed, with lots of charging points for phones etc. Staff were very pleasant and spoke good English, particularly Marion who, together with her colleagues, looked after us very well. It is a bit of a hike to reach the main square of Bethune on foot but well worth the effort. The evening menu featured tapas, burghers, salads amongst other dishes and was reasonable value for money but breakfast was more basic and rather expensive for what was on offer.

Considering the price to stay here everything was excellent. Our room was small, but modern, perfectly designed and laid out to make our short stay enjoyable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Although I speak some French the staff all had good English so it was easy to explain when I thought I needed a plug with a USB socket to charge my phone. In fact things were even better as the rooms have wireless charging! The menu for dinner is not extensive, but the dishes we chose were excellent in their presentation, amount and taste. Breakfast is buffet style and included excellent scrambled egg, warm pancakes, plus a good variety of the usual cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cheeses and meats - all very fresh and appetising. We will stay here again.

Excellent value hotel next to the train station and about 15 mins walk from the centre of town (for choice of restaurants and bars). Very clean and comfortable room, secure parking behind gate for car or motorcycle (extra charge which was reasonable). It has a good bar and restaurant with a few simple dishes. The breakfast with a range of hot and cold items was included in the price and it exceeded expectations for a budget hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be using again as a first night stop after crossing the Channel.

This is a modern hotel which is perfect for an overnight stop. Check in v efficient and room spotless and comfortable. The bar/ restaurant was also ideal.. altho the menu was v simple. The car park was secure (10euro fee was reasonable in a town centre we thought but there was lots of free parking right next to the hotel too). The location was also great.. under an hour to the tunnel and an easy walk into the town centre.

Lynda

We arrived very late (the next morning) as our tunnel crossing was delayed. The man on reception was extremely helpful as he opened the gate for us so we could park our car on site. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good too. I'd recommend this hotel (even though we didn't get to see much of it).
